CORNING MUSEUM OF GLASS

The Corning Museum of Glass is dedicated to telling the story of a single, captivating material: glass. Featuring the world’s most comprehensive collection of glass, the Museum is home to 50,000 objects that span 35 centuries—from ancient Egyptian core-formed objects to Roman mold-blown vessels; from delicate Venetian masterpieces to fanciful windows designed by Louis C. Tiffany. A recent addition is a flameworked glass cannabis pipe—the first ever to be accessioned into the collection of a major art museum. The collection also focuses on science and glass innovations that have shaped the modern world.

The Museum inspires people to see glass in a new light through live, narrated glassmaking demonstrations and hands-on learning opportunities at The Studio. It also offers plenty of live stream viewing for glass enthusiasts on its award-winning YouTube channel.
